Maharaja Agrasen University is a private University located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India, founded by Dr. Nand Kishore Garg in the present-day town of Barotiwala in 2013. Maharaja Agrasen University inaugurated by Shri Pranab Mukherjee, President of India on 25 May 2013. The university established under Maharaja Agrasen (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2012 (Act. No. 15 of 2013) is situated in the picturesque backdrop of Kasauli Hills. Maharaja Agrasen University follows the noble and pious legacy of Maharaja Agrasen, born during the last stages of Dwapar Yuga who established the kingdom of Agroha, in Haryana. His monarchy consisted of 18 units. Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society established in 1998. Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology Delhi established in 1999. MAIT is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and presently has 4000 students. Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies Delhi, established in 2003. Maharaja Agrasen University administrators began a long-term effort to strengthen Maharaja Agrasen University's reputation both nationally and internationally. Interdisciplinary work was emphasized, as was recruiting diverse faculty and their initiative Reaches Goal Early. The university's campus spans 16 acres . The hilly environments surrounding parts of the campus make the University's transforming influence. In dataquest magazine survey 2013 MAIT ranked 15th in India including IIT's and IIIT's. MAIT graded AAA in Yahoo Education Ranked Best Engineering College in North India.
